“The meaning of life is to discover your gift & give it away…”

Pablo Picasso

I discovered my gift in 2019, when I began teaching yoga. For 20 years, I’d been deepening my yoga practice, discovering my authentic self and aligning my body on the mat. After years of practice, I realised that I needed to gift others with this greater awareness that I was fortunate to experience.

I came to yoga to support my body and understand it on a deeper level. As an avid exercise-fan, with a love of high intensity training, I originally fell in love with Iyengar Yoga because of its focus on precision, timing and detailed alignment cues - yoga helped me to relearn my body and understand how to improve my postural alignment.

By the time I discovered my first Vinyasa yoga class, I was hooked. I love the way the flow of breath and movement combined as a symphony for the body. As an athlete, I appreciated the way it linked asana poses through dynamic rhythm to elevate the heartrate, regardless of your fitness. Vinyasa made me feel stronger, challenging my body’s balance, strength and alignment.

The more I learned on the mat, the more I recognised that fitness starts within. Pranayama and asanas became the foundation of all other movements, and instead of quantity, I focused on quality - yoga was fundamental to this mindset shift for me.

By now, I was bursting to share my knowledge and how yoga could improve range of motion and care for the joints, ligaments and tendons through self-correction and awareness.

Following my training in 2019 with Inna Bliss Yoga, my Yin Yoga training in 2022 changed my life. I dived into learning about fascia, meridian lines, the five elements theory and the vagus nerve.

Through stillness in Yin Yoga we do more self discovery by letting go of tension through stressing fascia, accessing connective tissue and organ pathways through Meridian Lines. Yin Yoga liberated me as I had this new perspective of who I was, my real authentic self.

I am so inspired to keep learning more about this magnificent practice so I can gift others the same awakening by introspectively finding a way forward in the wisdom of their own experiences.

All my classes include guidance with yoga blocks, to open yoga up to more bodies. I love sharing knowledge throughout my class so we can all enjoy a heartfelt practice together, we will never stop learning the diversity that makes yoga a union.
